Wedding planning is a massive job. It’s likely the largest event you’ll ever plan! There’ll be times when you’ll wonder whether it’s even possible to get through the seemingly endless list of tasks. Like, how does another job get added every time you cross one off?
While couples refer to social media, word-of-mouth referral from family and friends, Dinesh came across Jacob’s Artography through Fearless Photographers website. Not your typical mode of enquiry. Dinesh truly meant business when it came to choosing his wedding photographer.
Just like any other meeting with potential clients, we set up a date to briefly share about what they can expect from us on the wedding day. However, during this meeting, not only did we had to impress the couple, Dinesh’s parents joined us as well! It turned out to be a good idea because we had the opportunity to get to know the couple and the family. Although they had a year till their wedding, Dinesh and Iqra believed that we will be able to capture their wedding moments into memories. This was a crucial decision for the couple because they had no plans on hiring a videographer for their wedding ceremony and reception. While this may be daunting to some photographers, we thought it was wonderful to have the freedom of movement. It’s like having the playground to ourselves! 😝
Fast forward to a month away from their wedding, we met up once again to finalise the nitty gritty details such as getting ready locations, full programme on the wedding day, couple’s request for specific photos, things we should look out for like performances and any other last minute changes. Gathering as much information as we can before the wedding keeps us mentally prepared for the day and any surprise element at bay.
Wedding day arrived and we reached the groom’s humble abode. Although we came to do our job, we appreciated the family’s hospitality. They made sure that we felt comfortable while working and treated us like a guest. With family members and the bridesmaids in the house, the atmosphere was bursting with conversations and laughter and it was only just getting started.
We would love to elaborate more on the wedding, but we believe the pictures can recount the story better than words. So, go on and take a look at some of our favourites from Dinesh and Iqra’s wedding.
